RE: Christian vs. Humanist Morality
I have interest with astreja is that something bad thats the only person I've been flirting with the whole time. You know god probably made it where you have to have faith that he's coming back so you don't jump on the bandwagon. Only book that says somebodies coming back.

Yup, it is bad, Astreja has made it clear on numerous occasions that she does not like you so that constitutes unwanted attention, she doesn't need me to defend her she's a feisty lady and perfectly capable of defending herself I'm actually trying to help you here by warning you that this is not something that will likely end well for you if you continue with it.

Are you 12?

I will call him a liar and a dog here and now.

RE: Christian vs. Humanist Morality
Hello, Bz. Welcome to The Thinking Atheist forum.

Those simplistic statements might get applause in your little fundamentalist social circles, back home, but both we and ANYONE in serious academic study of the Bible (including the vast majority of Christians) would vehemently disagree with almost everything you said there.

Before you bring a simplistic argument to this forum, might I recommend you spend some time studying academic scholarship about the Bible instead of just trusting evangelical sources who make up their minds that it's all 100% true before they even start. It's a basic level of intellectual dishonesty that even most Christians do not respect, and for which we have nothing but contempt.

I suspect you are one of Socialist's church friends, come to provide backup. If his ideas are indicative of the sort of theological education you have this far received, you're going to have a very rough time here. We are not novices at this, not are we the gullible and ill-informed people to whom you are likely accustomed to speaking on this subject. You're in the Big Leages now, and I suggest you do real homework and put on your magic underpants (that last one is just if you're Mormon), because we don't treat you or your bad ideas with kid gloves.

Welcome to TTA.

Flush out your head man and look back in the thread although I'm sure when she reads all this she's going to have something to say then you will see I'm not lying. Try to conduct yourself with some dignity and pull yourself together man !

RE: Christian vs. Humanist Morality
Are you fucking kidding me ? There are loads of contradictions in the bible. You do realise you are on an atheist forum are you sure you wouldn't be happier on a forum for believers?

Not kidding. I spent years debating those who believed there were contradictions and errors in the Bible and I spanked them up and down every thread.

Forums for the believers is like having a talk with the choir - way too boring.

Oh this is going to be fun. I grew up in a fundamentalist church and was trained in evangelical apologetics... almost those identical words once came out of my mouth.

I predict one of two things will happen with Bzltyr. Either he will cherry pick and ignore our serious replies, focusing only on those who swear at or otherwise berate him (that is, those who conform to his prejudices about atheists), or else he will demonstrate intellectual dishonesty of the type SV has been kind enough to put on display for us.

I do so enjoy these Liars For Jesus™. Can't wait to see which version it is.
