Christianity - in a nut shell
A middle eastern man comes to you in the middle of the night and wakes you up.

"Hurry, you must follow me. My father has boarded up most of the windows and doors and is about to burn your house down.

I know the way out. Hurry"

You say "But this is my home. Where will I live."

He replies "We are going to stay at my fathers house. He has made room for you to live there. It is a wonderful mansion. You will be our servant.

OR you can stay in the burning house. Your choice"

Insanity - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

The word "shell" is superfluous.

We have enough youth. How about looking for the Fountain of Smart?

RE: Christianity - in a nut shell
More christian nuttiness happened to me on fb today and I won't go into every aspect of it, but here is the gist of it.

Her "If I told you that Jesus is coming, what would you do" ?

Her Friends replies
"He's coming and so many people aren't ready"
"It's automatic, he's taking me no matter what I'm doing"
"I'm going to continue to help build his kingdom"
All I want to hear is "well done thou good and faithful servant"

My reply
"If Jesus comes back, I'd point out to him that we all nailed his ass to a cross before and we'll do it again. Damn zombie needs to stay dead"

Ok, here's the thing - They didn't understand anything I was saying. I wasn't playing their game and that's what it is to them. It's a mental game.
Kinda like when comic book nerds sit around and debate who would win in a fight (Superman or The Hulk)

It's all that kind of fantasy thinking - that mental masturbation and they are wishfully hoping for the end of the world.
To them that's what Jesus coming back means - "End of the World"
And they are happy about it - at least they are happy about the fantasy of it, because they are only focused on what is happening to them.
They get to meet and be the servant of the most powerful being in the universe, in much the same way that comic nerds envision being friends with Superman.

Pointing out the reality of what they are wishing for doesn't seem to help either. The blinders are on very thick.

Insanity - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

Where is the “sell all what you have and give it to the poor” ?
