RE: Christopher Hitchens has died.
It was not unexpected, but a tragic loss nevertheless. He will be missed.

Oh, no Hallucinations 4:11 says the 'gilded sheep should be stewed in rat blood' but Morons 5:16 contradicts it. (Chas)

I would never shake a baby unless the recipe requires it.

RE: Christopher Hitchens has died.
Thanks for waking me up to the horrors of Kissinger, Falwell, Mother Teressa, and religious fundamentalism in general. I will miss such a great author, and public speaker. Sad

Angry Grrr. Idiots.
I think the ancient religions are more likely to be true than modern religions, in which case bitter, hateful theists are eaten by the well bloated Egyptian crocodile. Whereas atheists, agnostics and nice people in general, dine with the Pharaoh. Tongue

But in all seriousness, not sure how things will be without Hitchens stoking up a storm. I am glad he had a nice life, and was able to debate, write and inspire for as long as he did. Though I wish he survived the Cancer. Sad

Is that a command? Big Grin

They are doing the carpe diem like the evil, death-worshiping scavengers they are. You are BC. I am simulating the virtuality of being back in Worcester where I'll have real crew to match my virtual crew. Irish wake - there is a lovely concept. I'm gonna hafta settle for a virtual pint...

To you, Hitch!

I am in the process of drinking more than a few toasts to the memory of this man, the knife-edge of the atheist movement to put religion in it's proper place- the past.

The way to see by Faith, is to shut the eye of Reason. - Ben Franklin

I am sad to see him go, but very happy that he wrote so much and so incisively, never pulling his punches.
