Citing a quote.
Hey guys, help me here. I'm wondering who said the following:

"Dealing with religious people is like playing chess with a pigeon...
No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon will just knock over all the pieces, take a shit on the chess board, and strut around like it's the winner."

I think it's anonymous.

RE: Citing a quote.
I must have quality google skills.. I just quote searched solely the first part of it and in two links found people leading to the source.

"The title comes from a very amusing
description of what it is like to debate creationists about evolution by
Scott D. Weitzenhoffer made in a comment on Amazon.com regarding Eugenie Scotts’ book Evolution Vs. Creationism: An introduction (2004):
"

The original quote was:
Quote:
Debating creationists on the topic of evolution is rather like trying to play chess with a pigeon — it knocks the pieces over, craps on the board, and flies back to its flock to claim victory.
The pro-creationist reviewers of this book clearly demonstrate this to be true.

I may have to dissagree with Weitzenhoffer as I've known pigeons to be trainable. This is clearly an insult to pigeons.

Not if that's what they were trained to do. Wink

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.
