It's nice to just relax and let things just run on autopilot!

Yesterday I had several instances where the website would refuse to load for a bit. Not sure if the problem was on your end or mine but figured you should know. Happened from around 11am est-8pm est ish site would work fine for a few minutes then it would slow way down and the stop completely.

Interesting. Keep telling me when something happens try testing it against other websites like Google, etc as a reliable baseline. I know there might be a small window between a new attack and the script blocking some new IP addresses. I still haven't noticed the load spikes like I was having before. Now that I'm logging a few extra web service related things I have much more diagnostic info.

The server had one load spike over 3 days ago but other than that the new system has been performing really well.

RE: CloudFlare & Forum Stability
So how do you mean slow down and stop?

Did you get timeouts or were there loading delays?

Changes are still being implemented from time to time on the server, and a new backup script is getting enabled soon so there might be some delays due to table locking for database backup while testing the script.

Once that backup script is enabled its going to happen around 2am central time (US).

Also some tweaks to the webserver - since I have more server ram I can have more caching for database etc.. These are really minor outages that most people wouldn't notice.

Just that it will begin to take as much as 30 seconds (up from 2) to load a page and then I will get a chrome notice the the page could not be loaded. When it does come back the page does not load properly. Ironically enough it happened as I was trying to get into this thread. here is a screenshots of what the page looked like after waiting several minutes and reloading 4 times.

Weird, I'm not noticing anything here!

Are all other websites fine/responsive? What kind of internet access do you have? Do you use the mobile phone network (3G/4G wireless) for internet access?

I was using it the whole time and haven't noticed anything. Every page load has been practically instant...

Is something going on this US internet/links?

I am using a hardline cable modem and no other sites are having any issue. I could get on google or facebook or twitter etc... with no issues but this site would not load.

Not that I can tell it seems to be localised to just TTA.

RE: CloudFlare & Forum Stability
Rev, I just tried pinging you from the server:

IP address not disclosed.
Code:
112 packets transmitted, 4 received, 96% packet loss, time 111072ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 30.003/40.210/61.539/12.485 ms
There is allot of packet loss for data between the server and you.

I ran a traceroute and the server and from the server upstream to the local US link seems quick.

Code:
1  107.170.11.254 (107.170.11.254)  0.334 ms  0.355 ms  0.329 ms
2  198.199.99.233 (198.199.99.233)  0.275 ms  1.344 ms  1.302 ms

The packet loss I observed during the ping shows some sort of network issue between the server and you. Maybe there are issues with a link.

Everything else I tried loaded fine, TTA timed out with no connect.
