RE: Columbian living in sewers
Can I also just say, "ex-sewer" is a bit of a stretch.
They've been living there 22years. So it was a "sewer" at most, 22years ago. Right now it doesn't look as bad as say, some slum house in Africa somewhere. They have electricity, bed, tv, small kitchen etc.. If they didn't like it in there then I am sure they would have moved long ago. Besides, at least they don't pay rent. |

This is not a nice way to live your life, at least by our standards, but they are not completely homeless, they have a roof over their heads, it is crappy, but it is a shelter, with electricity even. I would say this is one of the best homeless solutions I have ever seen.

I'm a student flatting in what would be considered a student flat. Looking at this guy and his wife I have to seriously question as to who has it better. |

RE: Columbian living in sewers
Well, compared to my present status, it is not that great. Compared to someone else status, they are doing great. Joking apart, they miss things like WC, bathroom, doors, windows, you know all those simple stuff we all take for granted. And I am sure they do not have a WiFi, although they could, with only one good antenna.
But still, I have seen worse "houses" in Croatia, people that have some kind of shack, but my god, the ex-sewers do look better than some shit where entire families live. ![]() I have a theory that the truth is never told during the nine-to-five hours. -Hunter S. Thompson |
