I however pride myself on a large comic book collection, D&D crafts, my extensive knowledge or movies, comic books , other useless information. I even has a bachelors in animation, and have have worked in a TV.cartoon show and comic books. Another thing I take pride myself on in is how creative my fellow geeks and nerds can be.

This and many past years have been Amazing for comic con. Growing larger every year. And where there are large crowds there will be religious picketers seem to be moving in hoping to convert.

Always a turd in the punch bowl. Picketers have no problem trying to bring a good time down. But if there's one thing Geeks know is bullies. and when you among friends great things happen.

Has anyone ever been converted by a Picketer?

That video is awesome! "...'cause at the end of the day, whether you're a regular nerd or a religious nerd, the end result is the same: Little to no premarital sex."

I have to say, though... with the advent of this generation of nerds, there are nearly as many female nerds who've "come out of the closet" as geeky as there are guys. The ratio's not perfect, but my Dr.Who fanatic looks miiiighty sexy in her Dalek-as-Vitruvian-Man babydoll tee. Big Grin

I'm betting...

Hell -- I bet fucking Aquaman could -- and he's the lamest superhero there is.....

First thing I thought of when you said that. Was Patton Oswalt bit Jesus the Avenger.

There are worse hero's than Aquaman. Aquaman has been thrown around as a joke character for a while, But it's important to remember he's the King of everything in the OCEAN! Any creature that lives in water he can use his mental ability and tell it what to do. That's 70% of the planet, is his domain. He's also killed people. On purpose. With little to no guilt. He's not one for fighting the same guy over and over again. like Sup's and Bat's. He Finishes it when it needs to be finished.

Look up Snowflame. A super hero that get's his powers from Cocaine.

Nick Nolte is Snowflame?

Or does Snowflame work on Wall Street?

I'm betting Snowflame's real life identity is Keith Richards......

He certainly looks like he might be an alien......

If you were at SDCC, you might've seen my buddy Freddie as a genderswap Aquaman.

RE: Comic Con and Picketers
Always wanted to go to a comic con. Hoping on getting to FanExpo in Toronto this year, that is if I'm not hungover. Unfortunately, the FanExpo occurs at the same time as the Cyanide and Happiness Banana Bar Crawl. I always plan on going on Sunday but the Bar Crawl is always on the Saturday.
Ya lots of nerds in the Homeschooling Catholic community. If you ever wanted to find someone with an encyclopedic knowledge of Lord of the Rings, find a Catholic. My Seminarian friend is actually doing his masters thesis on the Theology of Tolkien.
I also have a friend who runs a booth at several comic cons. He gets little clay pots and what you do is buy one and smash it with a giant wooden warhammer, my friend makes the treasure sound from Zelda, and inside the pot is a random item. These items are little Iron on badges that say things like "+10 Hp" or "+5 Ice Resistance". My friend said his favourite moment was when Will Weaton came to his booth, smashed a pot and said it was the most fun he has ever had at a comic con.

I'm homophobic in the same way that I'm arachnophobic. I'm not scared of gay people but I'm going to scream if I find one in my bath.

I'm. Also homophobic in the same way I'm arachnophobic. I'm scared of spiders but I'd still fuck'em.
