Commentary on the "debate" between Wolfbitn and Michael_Tadlock
1) Do you believe it is NEVER GOOD to beat an innocent person to death because of the color of their skin? Yes or no?

2) If you do believe it is SOMETIMES GOOD... give me 3 examples of it being a GOOD thing to beat someone to death for the color of their skin.

3) Give me your definition of God... What are the qualities a God would need?

4) What do you think is the "ultimate origin" of "consciousness"?

5) When is it GOOD to beat an innocent child to death? Or is it NEVER good despite social acceptance?

Facepalm

When ?

When his god tells him to. Yes

"Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." (I Samuel 15:2-3)

At work.

I must admit I wanted to start up the peanut gallery for this one. Smile

The opening questions on Wolf's side seem 'lacking'.

Will watch the main thread with interest. Will watch this thread with amusement. The dismantling of Wolf's comments (To go along with the probable need for some explanation) should be entertaining enough.

Much cheers to all.

Well, clearly, as it only mentions adults and infants, there is a safe rage between being a baby and being an adult where god wouldn't order your genocide at the hands of his chosen people. The rest of your family would be dead, and you yourself would presumably end up in bondage (or forced marriage/sexual slavery if a girl) or left stranded to fend for yourself without anything, but you would at least be alive, right? Weeping

Read it again. I think he said to smite those evil sucklings. Blink

I think Tadlock made a good point about the absurdity of the question. Of course injustice is always wrong, it's UNjust. the wrongness is there in the very word. The question should not be whether or not injustice is wrong (it is, duh), but what constitutes injustice.

Atheism is the only way to truly be free from sin.

And how we LEARN what our culture considers "unjust".

He that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death. -- Exodus 21:15

He that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death. -- Exodus 21:17

Children who mock their parents will have their eyes plucked out by ravens and eaten by eagles.

The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it. -- Proverbs 30:17

Like Abraham, parents should be willing to kill their children for God.

And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and ... offer him there for a burnt offering.... And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. -- Genesis 22:2,10

God killed all the (innocent) firstborn children in an entire country :
"The LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon.... And there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. -- Exodus 12:29-30

Sometimes God kills children for misbehaving.

"And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them. -- 2 Kings 2:23-24

Someday God will force parents eat their own children.
And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. -- Leviticus 26:29

And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters. -- Deuteronomy 28:53

And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend. -- Jeremiah 19:9

But just remember the GREAT wisdom of the Babble :
Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones. -- Psalm 137:9

It's interesting how theists try to control the debate. Wolfbtn has this plan where he asks 5 questions, or constantly asks the same question again and again no matter how irrelevant it is to the conversation. And they always demand that questions are answered yes or no. Sye Ten Bruggencate takes it to an extreme with his website with his list of meaningless questions. It's because they want to get the conversation to reach a specific conclusion and they are not willing to accept anything less.

And if you don't play along exactly with their plans they get angry and flustered and keep trying to keep to their carefully thought out script.

That's exactly what I keep thinking about his "define god" question. It doesn't matter!!

If someone's theories are logically consistent and match reality then they should be able to defend them without asking questions themselves.

Wolfbtn clearly can't think outside of his own script

Apparently he actually thinks he's got something compelling there, is those idiotic questions he copy-pasted from somewhere.
