So abortion makes ethical sense up until the brain is formed, but not after. At least this seems logical to me. Yes

So around 25 years old, then.

That's good to know.

Just yesterday I read about a book that exists where the premise is after a pro-choice/pro-life war erupted. They agree to a disallow abortions, but when a teenager is from the ages 13-18, the parents can judge if they want to "unwind" the kid if he's unruly or unwanted. I believe the book is named Unwind.

Clearly they got the debate and logical sense of the dissucsion all wrong... It should be til the age of 25 when that brain is fully developed. Thumbsup

As opposed to reading a book that does not exist? A virtual book?

This makes me question the definition of book-hood.

Clearly, a book is not yet a book at conception.

Is it a book at any point during the development stage?

The 1st draft ... 2nd draft etc.?

Or is it only truly a book once it has been printed and bound and the master copy has been placed in the national library?

Or perhaps, from a philosophical perspective, it is really only a book once the first person has read it.

It is very sad to think of all the ideas for books that were discarded before they could come to full term.

Sad, but not something over which I'm going to lose any sleep. It's not the same as book-burning. Destroying real, live books... an outrage.

Oddly enough, I don't feel the same about deleting (burning) virtual books. They're just Kindling, I guess.

Big Grin

According to my wife it's more like 70... but maybe that's just for males. Hmmm... sexually differentiated abortion laws... Tongue
