RE: Concerts
Back then concert tickets used to be $20 for decent seats in an arena.
stadium tickets were $35-$40
and the lawn seats at outdoor amphitheaters were $12-$15

there were a few summers we would go almost every weekend, didn't matter who was there. There was a group of about 15 of us that just went for fun.

then the ticket prices started to get insane, and the music turned to shit, and married life with kids came rolling in.

Be excellent to each other and party on, Dudes!

Found a wiki on the Monsters of Rock '88 show that I went to. I went to the Pittsburgh show @ 3 Rivers. The mosh pit started during Metallica, it was very scary.

My average ticket is $20-35. The most I've spent is for Metalfest which was I think $60, but it was all day and had what seemed like a hundred acts. Totally worth it

That's a shame.
Brings to mind a band that I regret not seeing in concert. Kraftwerk.

I've been to so many but mostly older stuff…just off the top of my head...

Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Elton John, Bon Jovi, Kid Rock, Tom Petty, Lenny Kravitz, Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Grateful Dead, Doobie Brothers, Scorpions, Pink Floyd, and about 30 or more others.

Well I'm only19 lol... But I would've loved to go to a Van Halen or Rolling Stones concert

I saw Van Halen when they opened for Black sabbath (with Ozzy) in 78

I've seen led zeppelin a couple times...Grateful Dead countless times, iron maiden...

Journey too many times....

BTO, Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple (classic lineup). I've seen Rainbow, Aerosmith, Heart, Ronnie James Dio (few times different bands), Gamma, mahogany rush...Rush.

Plus the usual suspects of Elton John, Eddie Money, Styx, Bruce Springsteen...

Tons and tons....back in the day you could 5 bands for like $7.50. Ouch...

I'm not scratching the surface.

I've seen Rush 25 times. Saw U2 once, was a fine show. Judas Priest, Defenders of the Faith Tour. And countless other shows, but none as good as any Rush show.
