Condemning "Innocence of Muslims"
I have a problem with this. Even though I thought the film was crap, I don't think it wise to condemn the film. One might disagree with the message, fine. But when Obama and Clinton go out of their way to condemn this film on Afghan TV, talking as official representatives of the US, they go further than just voicing disapproval.

There is this thing going round of FB as well, where a woman hold up a sign condemning the video. This is supposedly addressed to the peaceful people of Islam. But the message seems addressed to the rioters, in essence she pleads with them to understand that it wasn't her. Please don't be angry with her. I believe she is pandering to the extremists who do not deserve respect, the deserve a time out like any 3 yo who throws a temper tantrum.

What do you think?

RE: Condemning "Innocence of Muslims"
From the video clips that I saw on CNN they did nothing to condemn the film.

The TV ad I saw had Obama saying how the US is in no way against any particular religion and supports the freedom of religion.. and Hiliary saying the video was the action of a single man and not in anyway created by the US Government.

RE: Condemning "Innocence of Muslims"
Peaceful people of Islam? The same people who turned to violence over a cartoon of their pedophile prophet which was never published at the time, that stormed an embassy and murdered people, over a film that had nothing to do with them? The same peaceful people who's countries deny basic human rights to women?

I know that not all Muslims are violent. But the moderates enable the extremists by not taking a stand against them.

Behold the power of the force!

Condemn really? All that condemning means is that somebody releases an official statement saying the video was bad in every respect. It's just religious butt kissing.

But I condemn the rioters for acting like children. Because they didn't like a youtube video.

You don't see anybody rioting over this.

I think it's a little more indirect.
They don't understand freedom of speech and think that the government can stop people from saying things.

The concept of personal freedom is almost unimaginable for many of them.
