RE: Confession: I cheated yesterday
I will second that. Samantha is beautiful and, of the whole movie, her songs actually moved me the most. All the other miserable people singing about their misery made me a little sad, but Eponine stirred me to tears. I can't even blame it on the pretty girl thing because she wasn't the only sad pretty girl singing about her woes. I just think she carried her part better than the rest, which is not to say that the rest were bad but just that Samantha stood out.

It could be that it's because it's the character with the most pathos. Same for the West End production. "but the tigers come at night" is one of the lines that gets me. Can you imaging me singing the bit from 1:06? Yup. Did that. ![]() |

RE: Confession: I cheated yesterday
I knew the story, and every last word of Les Miserables long before I ever saw it. Just the voices were enough for me to completely fall in love with Eponine. Putting Samantha in the role of Eponine is just plain cruel. Now I have to leave my wife.
