Because it's all a test from God; a big deception orchestrated by satan to try your faith a little.

Their homepage offers this little gem.

It's though propaganda that would make Orwell's Ministry of Truth proud!
If anybody outside the USA doesn't understand the religious right in America (and that's 99% of the civilized world), Conservapedia is your one-stop shopping source. This is what "conservative" has come to mean in contemporary America.

The people who read this and believe it, are they even sentient?
I mean, how totally backward would you have to be?
Didn’t they go to school? Even once?
Yes, they went to Bible-based Christian schools, the kind that Bobby Jindal just forced taxpayers in Louisiana to fund.

Is there still any question that America will be a vassal state of China within 50 years?

They aren't presented with the opposing view.
They aren't presented with an accurate view of the truth.
They are fed this from their youth.
They become entrenched so much that they cannot overcome it in spite of having full view of the truth.
They are presented with misinterpreted viewpoints and "facts".
They never really think about it.

blah blah blah, the list goes on...

Sucks, but it's true.
To summarize, they learn critical thinking in reverse: assume Biblical inerrancy first, then test everything else against that assumption. Never, ever doubt that basic assumption, because God can never be wrong.
