Conservapedia, aka the South Losing Grasp on Reality
I'm sure the site has been mentioned before, but if you've never stumbled across Conservapedia, I suggest you try it. And you WILL stumble, hard, mostly from laughter.

Let's "share" the "useful" "information" from this "encyclopedia" with each other so we're "well" ""informed""" about """"""reality""""""".

First off, I love how this site even has to exist. People looked at the accepted encyclopedia that applies to the rest of the world and went "Nope, not for me!" and had to make their own definitions to coincide with their tenuous grasp on reality.

I of course started with President Obama's page. Here are the highlights:

"the controversial recipient of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize"

"In effect, that change has been an embrace of Socialism and liberal policies perhaps before unseen by the White House. "

"By and large, his economic policies to combat the recession have, to date, ranged from ineffective to counterproductive."

"he announced that the United States had killed September 11th mastermind and terrorist Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, perhaps at the cost of the United States's alliance with Pakistan."

"It is disputed whether Obama was actually born in the United States"

"In 1995 Obama openly sought and obtained the endorsement of the Marxist New Party in his quest to be elected to the Illinois State Senate. He became the Democrat nominee and ran unopposed to win the election."

"Under Obama's stewardship the United States has suffered the largest deficits in history and a credit downgrade from the rating agency Standard & Poor. Poverty increased to levels not seen in 50 years. When his economic stimulus program was adopted unemployment rose and stagnated in the 10% range, leaving tens of millions without hope of finding a job."

-I'm only on like paragraph 2.

Free free to check out such classics as Fox News (the only fair and balanced channel in a sea of liberal propaganda), Homosexuality (which is caused by being of the wrong religion and/or sexually abused as a child), and Evolution (which proudly states that Darwin was a creationist and that evolution is backed by nothing and is full of lies and deception).

Objective information for the masses if I may say so.

"Ain't got no last words to say, yellow streak right up my spine. The gun in my mouth was real and the taste blew my mind."

"We see you cry. We turn your head. Then we slap your face. We see you try. We see you fail. Some things never change."

RE: Conservapedia, aka the South Losing Grasp on Reality
I've seen this site before. I think I understand the constant complaint that the media has a liberal bias: they tend to report things that actually are instead of how zealots would prefer them to be.

Things like this are minor irritants. What is really concerning is that some of these wingnuts hold elected office and can influence policy. What is scarier still is that some of them may be running for President. Imagine Michelle Bachmann as President? Jeez, what potential fucking nightmare that would be.

Shackle their minds when they're bent on the cross
When ignorance reigns, life is lost

Right. Conservapedia. If I facepalmed every time I thought that a grandparent of mine drew quotes from there, I'd have a face of mush.

LOL I have read some of the articles when I'm bored, still, I can't tell if Conservapedia is for real or just a huge compilation of articles made by poes.

Whay you guys think? Trolling or just very stupid? I mean, come on! Atheism and Obesity!?!?

I've never seen this before but bloody hell, I'm actually speechless, that 'Causes of Atheism' section is just beyond belief. This just makes me think that people with IQs below that of an average glass of water should not be allowed to formulate opinions lol

Best and worst of Ferdinand .....
Best
Ferdinand: We don't really say 'theist' in Alabama. Here, you're either a Christian, or you're from Afghanistan and we fucking hate you.
Worst
Ferdinand: Everyone from British is so, like, fucking retarded.

Shame it isn't as easily edited as is Wikipedia. Wink

Atheists should make one of our own. Just to give the Conservapedia another entry. Heathenpedia. Atheist Almanac.

A random page said Jeanne Calment was the oldest person to live, what happened to Adam and all those people who lived to be 900+years?

http://www.conservapedia.com/New_Atheism...ess_weight

Quote:Also, given that being overweight causes brain impairment and that Daniel Dennet has had issues with being overweight, it is ironic that Dennet's book Consciousness Explained is beloved by those who deny God in favor of a pseudoscientific naturalist philosophy of the mind.

http://www.conservapedia.com/Deism

Quote:Deism is also only a short step away from atheism, and deistic beliefs often create a slippery slope to atheism. This is a common tactic of atheist evangelists: first convince a Christian that God has left the world alone, and then deny the necessity of God. Atheism and Deism are, for the most part, morally and cosmologically equivalent, given God's presumed inaction of any moral and cosmological revelation, an exception being that Atheism more easily permits worship of man by man while Deism holds that God is greater than man.

http://www.conservapedia.com/Big_Bang

Quote:Some creationists argue that the Big Bang theory is part of an effort to deny God's creation of all of existence. Christian physicists, such as Dr. John Hartnett, have noted that the Big Bang theory was constructed to account for serious pitfalls to the theory of evolution, particularly the needed timescale of billions of years, amply contradicted by terrestrial and astronomical evidence. Thus, the big bang is trotted out by atheist evolutionists to silence creationist opponents, even though the theory is based on little more than guesswork, speculation, and dubious assumptions.

http://www.conservapedia.com/Secularized_Language

Quote:While the development of conservative words grows by doubling each century, those with an anti-Christian and anti-American agenda, such as liberals, homosexuals, atheists, evolutionists and leftists, have attempted to remove the Christian origins of our language by replacing common phrases with secularized versions. By appealing to tolerance and political correctness, they have succeeded in propagating these secularized versions, even among those who don't share their views. Such deceitful tactics are a prime example of Liberal redefinition and other Liberal tools.
(and the examples they give are beyond hilarious)

http://www.conservapedia.com/Humanism

Quote:Humanism is a philosophy, worldview, and religion

http://www.conservapedia.com/Homosexual_lifestyle

Quote:The choice of a homosexual lifestyle involves extreme selfishness and indolence. Deprived of parental love, homosexuals seek emotional comfort in the arms of their own sex and confuse sexuality for affection. Since they don't have the expense of raising children, they often have extra money for political activism. Without the prospect of enjoying an old age with the supportive love of an extended family, they frequently engage in risky behaviors such as sadomasochism.

http://www.conservapedia.com/Dinosaur

Quote:There is excellent evidence that dinosaurs and man coexisted. During a visit to the Creation Museum, the evolutionist and atheist PZ Myers had noticeably greater difficulty than others climbing on and off a dinosaur model due to the fact that he was overweight and out of shape. VIDEO

LMFAO. I could waste all night reading this damn website.
