Conservatpedia
Has anybody here been too this funny wiki?
http://www.conservapedia.com/

It was a site to counter the liberal Wikipedia. This site has a Christian conservative view.

BTW here is the 1st paragraph on Atheism.
Quote:Atheism, as defined by the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, the Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy, and other philosophy reference works, is the denial of the existence of God.[1][2][3] Unlike Christianity, which is supported by a large body of evidence (see: Christian apologetics), atheism has no proof and evidence supporting its ideology.

Oh here is a sample on Atheism and obesity:
Quote:Two of the major risk factors for becoming obese according to the Mayo Clinic are poor dietary choices and inactivity.[7] Thus, it appears as if agnostics/non-religious are more prone to becoming obese than very religious individuals.

RE: Conservatpedia
Yes, anything that does not conform to a Christian conservative world outlook is automatically politically biased, since we know reality corresponds exactly with it.

RE: Conservatpedia
so apparently atheists have low standards of living, are more likely to be smokers, get anal cancer, die of disease, become obese and have poor eyesight...

would that qualify as an ad hominem?

Hey brother christian, with your high and mighty errand, your actions speak so loud, I can't hear a word you're saying.

"This machine kills fascists..."

"Well this machine kills commies!"

My Dad linked me to a Conservapedia article in order to "convince me" to not be gay. Tongue

I am 100% certain that I am wrong about something I am certain about right now. Because even if everything I stand for turns out to be completely true, I was still wrong about being wrong.

RE: Conservatpedia
Personally, I couldn't care less if every gay person made a conscience choice to be gay. It seems completely beside the point whether or not a person can choice something like that. I see it as something like a dislike of pickles. Is it nature, nurture, or does it even matter in the least? Homosexuality doesn't harm anyone by any stretch of the imagination, and that should be the deciding factor of acceptance, not whether or not a person can change their sexuality.

Bullshitapedia, it is, no?

When I find myself in times of trouble, Richard Dawkins comes to me, speaking words of reason, now I see, now I see.

RE: Conservatpedia
Quote:A liberal (also leftist) is someone who rejects logical and biblical standards, often for self-centered reasons. There are no coherent liberal standards; often a liberal is merely someone who craves attention, and who uses many words to say nothing.[1] Liberalism began as a movement for individual liberties, but today is increasingly statist and, as in Europe, socialistic.
The list of what liberal believes in is also pretty funny. It's not so much what they say we believe(even if you consider yourself a conservative, I'm pretty sure they would call anyone here a liberal) that is wrong, but what is right, thus implying that they reject. Such as:

Censorship of teacher-lead prayer in classrooms and school sponsored events

The denial of inherent gender differences(they say that men are capable of much higher thought processes than women).

Tax and spend

Government programs to rehabilitate criminals

Opposition to the Bible.

Supporting the Theory of Evolution

Calling anyone they agree with a "professor" regardless of whether he earned that distinction based on a real peer review of his work (see, e.g., Richard Dawkins and Barack Obama).

They even have a neat picture of the liberal brain.
