RE: Considering suicide. Over it.
As someone who has suffered debilitating depression in the past, I tried to take my own life a few years ago.

I instantly regretted it at the time.

Don't make the same mistake I did then, along with the millions of people who commit suicide every year.

Talk it through, it will pass.

I feel so much, and yet I feel nothing.
I am a rock, I am the sky, the birds and the trees and everything beyond.
I am the wind, in the fields in which I roar. I am the water, in which I drown.

Well a new day. So many replies need answering but the post would be enormous, so these will have to suffice.

Yeah I got through it. It was hard. This morning everything feels better.

My opinions on suicide are mixed. On the one hand I don't see how you can fully appreciate being if you haven't seriously considered not being. On the other hand, I'm with Sartre,"“The absurd man will not commit suicide; he wants to live, without relinquishing any of his certainty, without a future, without hope, without illusions … and without resignation either. He stares at death with passionate attention and this fascination liberates him. He experiences the “divine irresponsibility” of the condemned man.” Pain, however, could easily sway my opinion.

Pain is a part of the equation. Mine never goes and only can be controlled through morphine. Which I hate.

Get that infection looked at. I know your immune system is crooked (as you might say) so it's really important that gets taken care of.

My aunt, who was a nurse, once told me that it can take the body up to a year to recover from even a simple surgical procedure. You have had strong, strange chemicals feeding through you and mixing everything up for a long, long time. Your recovery from the cure is going to take a while.

Your body has been poked, prodded, breached, tested, and cooked in a chemical stew for much longer than many people could stand. Give your body and your mind time to recover and accept that things are going to be different...maybe not better or worse, just different. You now have to adapt to those differences.

Occupy your mind, get good rest, don't ignore medical issues, and get better!

I see the Dr tomorrow. I can wait until then now. I have enough antibiotics to carry me through today.

I have run out of my immune system drug. 1 day should be okay. I have no plan to go out.

I think I may end up getting intravenous antibiotics in the ward or something. Unsure.

I do know I'm exhausted.

The last time I felt like yesterday I went to hospital. Yesterday I told you guys.

Same result. I remain alive. Smile

Thanks everyone.

I was actually going to say pretty much the same thing Dom said when he wrote "Read some books, play some games. Have some fun."

Spend your time doing what makes you happy, maybe even make a plan to do some of the things you haven't done yet.

Mate it's just the results of the massive amounts of chemicals that have gone through me. Messes me up.

I am hoping to control it over time.

Your brain has been assaulted with chemicals and it will take time to repair itself. It's 11:00 PM where I live and I'm about to go to bed. When I wake up tomorrow I'll check this thread first thing to see how you're doing.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.
