Rainbow Constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage advances

A plan to allow Minnesota voters to decide on a constitutional amendment that would ban gay marriages advanced in the Legislature today, passing out of the House Civil Law Committee on a 10-7 party line vote.

Fundies fear Secularism, which I believe is a distraction from what they champion as ecclesiastical anti-American bigotry. I wonder which side will win? Rolleyes

Makes me sad. That's all I have to say. Equality for the gay community is an up-hill battle, but I believe that we'll win. One day.

I don't believe Jesus is the son of God until I see the long form birth certificate!

I wonder if the next amendment by these people will be to suppress the 1st amendment or something ?!
