I don't mind being corrected about history - history is something of a hobby of mine, so it's good to know if your understanding of it is wrong. And I particularly dislike counterfactual 'revisionist' history.

Probably a discussion for another threat but I'm extremely interested in what you mean by "counterfactual 'revisionist' history".

Do you mean things like Holocaust Denial, where actual historical events are denied due to some reason that often revolves around bigotry or a religious position? Do you mean something like reevaluating the historical events and lessons learned? Or, is it something else?
