RE: Conversation In The Womb
If we can think about it, can't prove it wrong (and it fits our preconceived world views), it must be true!

It's just wishful thinking. You'd like it to be true, so it must be true.

Baby 2: Awesome !!!

Baby 1: Do you think we'll bust out of the womb like that ?

Baby 2: I don't know. I've been kicking a lot, but I don't think I'm that strong yet.

Baby 1: My new brain cells just gave me calculus.

Baby 2: Very cool. I seem to have learned a new language in the past 5 minutes.

Baby 1: What's your stance on gun control ?

Baby 2: It's a firm stance with my legs shoulder width apart.

Baby 1: You would not believe the fucked up post I somehow read on a forum site.

Baby 2: It was pure stupidity wasn't it.

Baby 1: You read it too ?

You beat me to it. I was going to do a Matrix analogy.

Well seeing as how babies in the womb can't think in the first place nor do they every really grow in the same womb should give you an idea of why this is flawed.

My post wasn't intended as an argument for theism. My goal was to get people to think about the subject and judging from the responses I succeeded.

The information in ancient libraries came from real minds of real people. The far more complex information in cells came from the far more intelligent mind of God.

Cool. What are your thoughts on the subject, since you posted the thread?

By and large, the people hanging out at an atheist website aren't here because we haven't thought about the subject of whether there is a god.

Haha. What was this supposed to accomplish.

If I recall correctly, this somewhat mirrors the poem Kent Hovind wrote for his PhD. Along the same lines, but replace babies with blind people and life after birth for what you can see around you.

If your goal was simply to get people to think, why would you post an exchange with such loaded implications? Didn't you think about what it might mean, before you posted?

I'm wondering how stillbirth and those times where the mom just dumps the kid somewhere to die fit into the analogy.

And where the hell the one baby heard "stories of the other side".

Popcorn I put more thought into fiction than theists put into reality.

What opinion exactly did you think a forum of atheists would have for this verbal version of a christian meme?
