Cook a last meal
All this talk of food in another thread made me think about last meals. What would you want as your last meal ? Or what would you cook for someone as their last meal ?

If the fictional jesus was about to die, I would cook him a slab of bbq pork ribs as his last meal and then help with the nails.

My last meal would be a thick grilled pork steak sliced very thin, mashed potatoes, gravy, various fruits (mango, papaya, grapes, pears) large olives, habaneros cheese and a tall Guinness

Insanity - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

I am not a 'foodie' so that's a tough one. I suppose I would want one last Thanksgiving meal (my way - my recipes).

And there would have to be chocolate.

For Jesus' last meal, he gets bland crackers and grape juice, cause you get what you give.

For mine, candy.

Popcorn I put more thought into fiction than theists put into reality.

I would go to my favorite sushi restaurant. This girl loves sushi! Yummy!

Prime rib rare with au jus and horseradish, my own homemade mash potatoes and moms homemade gravy, grilled asparagus, a fresh salad with all the toppings including pickled okra and baby corn. Wash it down with a 6 pack of ice cold IBC cream soda.

Picturing the scene at the last supper...

Jesus: "Eat this and remember me..."
Peter: "You're not eating your ribs?"
Jesus: "Errr ... Gasp no thanks"
Judas: "How about this bacon sandwich...?"
Jesus: "Bro... Facepalm Jewish... WTF?"
Judas: "Oh, go on, you only live once"
Jesus: "Well... actually..."

Jesus's last meal of BBQ Pork Ribs sounds good to me. I'd have mine without a side of nails though.

But now that I think about it, I'd go to a dim sum restaurant and have them put everything on a lazy Susan in the center of the table, and I'd eat to my heart's content. Curried baby squid, ginger beef tripe, egg tarts, bbq pork buns, chicken feet, dumplings, stuffed eggplant, sticky rice, ribs steamed with black beans, congee, etc.

Then I'd pass out from the MSG and die in my sleep. Sleepy

Last meal? Gimme a huge chicken fried steak with mashed taters and a bottomless glass of whole milk. Dessert is a fifth of Knob Creek!

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.
