Well, anything written in the last fifty years for sure. Some of the classical works are beautiful, though they can keep the lyrics.

Carry a Laser is as close as I managed to stomach. I suspect the mistranslation helped. And made more sense.

Yeah, cool Christian music.

This is my favorite.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Opps, I meant to include this gem.

There's a podcast for that.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

The closest I get is listening to bands who lament their Christian upbringing.

See also: The Toadies

"Possum Kingdom" is a song by rock band Toadies released as the second single from their 1994 album, Rubberneck.

The song's origins lie in folklore from the band's native state of Texas. Possum Kingdom Lake is a lake in North Texas near Fort Worth.[1] In the documentary "Dark Secrets: The Stories of Rubberneck", Lewis further elaborates that he intended "Possum Kingdom" to be a continuation of the story told in the song "I Burn". While he envisioned "I Burn" to be a story about cult members immolating themselves in order to ascend to a higher plane, "Possum Kingdom" was about one of the immolated people becoming "just smoke, and ...he goes to Possum Kingdom [Lake] and tries to find somebody to join him." [2]

Most of the song alternates between a 4/4 and a 7/4 time signature.

"Possum Kingdom"

Make up your mind
Decide to walk with me
Around the lake tonight
Around the lake tonight
By my side
By my side
I'm not gonna lie
I'll not be a gentleman
Behind the boathouse
I'll show you my dark secret

I'm not gonna lie
I want you for mine
My blushing bride
My lover, be my lover, yeah...

Don't be afraid
I didn't mean to scare you
So help me, Jesus

I can promise you
You'll stay as beautiful
With dark hair
And soft skin...forever
Forever

Make up your mind
Make up your mind
And I'll promise you
I will treat you well
My sweet angel
So help me, Jesus

(hey, hey, hey)

Give it up to me
Give it up to me
Do you wanna be
My angel?
So help me!

Be my angel
Be my angel
Do you wanna die?
I promise you
I will treat you well
My sweet angel
So help me, Jesus

Jesus
Jesus
Jesus...

"MY GODS NOT DEAD HE'S SURELY ALIVE AND HE'S LIVING ON THE INSIDE ROARING LIKE A LION!"

That's the kind of stuff my church played when I was a Christian. They were trying to be more cool and modern to lure in non-church-goers.

And I don't want to be this girl, but doesn't the bible say that the devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeking who he may devour. I don't think god would much like being compared to his enemy.

Their thoughts are someone else's opinions,
their lives a mimicry,
their passions a quotation."

RE: Cool christian music!
Christian music is lame I can't stand the lyrics but somehow I have no problem with black or pagan metal, biased too much?
I also seem ok with cristian musicians as long as their songs are bullshit free (or in small quantities).
