Creatard Debunking Help?
I'm NOT a Biologist. I know quite a bit about Evolution and can argue a lot of points that creatards bring up. My creationist friend brought up this video, which is broken up into 12 chapters on Youtube.

I have arguments for most chapters, but I need one for chapters 7 and 10 because I know very little about Amino Acids.

I get to thinking that arguing science with these wetbrains only validates their spiel. Besides, as far as I'm concerned, nothing invalidates creationism like scripture.

Chapter 7/8: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abiogenesis

Must've been really hard for them to tackle science from the 1950s in the "documentary"...
We are able to show Proteins could've formed on our young earth 4 Billion Years ago.

And the trick they are using in the video is the good old God of the Gaps....
We can't explain something -> therefore god

About Chapter 10, I don't see much of a problem there?
Just because it looks oh so wonderous doesn't make it supernatural... (did I mention God of the gaps?)

RE: Creatard Debunking Help?
These two videos should do it, I just need to compile the peer review papers.

Also there is evidence that this video (Unlocking the Mystery of Life) was produced by the discovery institute.

Also the image of the flagellum (which was proven to be reducible) made me laugh.

RE: Creatard Debunking Help?
Look at page one from this thread from a couple days ago, under "the Anthropic Principle debunked". Lots of stuff. What question exactly do you need help with. Protein evolution ? After watching a few of these, let us know specific questions. K then.

(They include fstratzero's suggestions .. (thanks !!.. maybe look at them first) .. as well as a few other ideas, besides the protein/molecular/DNA discussions).

RE: Creatard Debunking Help?
I keep having to pause the video and look up every structure.

They are basically leaving out all the things that make sense to produce this mystical cell of magic.

Misrepresentation in reality is dishonest.

Namely that tiny x-wing molecular machine that transports the protein is called the golgi apparatus.

A video showing that protein transport happens in more structures than the (creation) video provides.

[EDIT] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percolozoa "Phylum: Percolozoa: The phylum Percolozoa contains primitive organisms lacking a Golgi apparatus."

I love a sentence in the Discovery Institute's description of the video: "Amazing animation footage of the
bacterial flagellum provides the viewer with a detailed tour of "the
most efficient machine in the universe.""

Um so if we were made in God's image as the highest form of life, then why does bacteria get the best hardware?
