I disagree. There is nothing immoral in choosing to feed an orphan because of compassion and love towards him/her.
There is nothing immoral in choosing to serve a widow because of love and compassion towards her.
I am not talking about consequences. I am talking about choices.

A plant which has more stimulant properties than caffeine that Mormons started drinking when they were told they can't smoke tobacco and can't drink coffee or tea or booze. It's the only reason the LDS yet lives.

Then that orphan could go on to commit mass murder, it is impossible to make a fully informed choice.

Pioneers didn't have Word of Wisdom as the Law yet. It became the Law later.
God prepares us for changes step by step. It is not good to quit addiction suddenly. And it never works.
there were several reasons why God gave Word of Wisdom.
I also want to say that many Mormons wrongly believe that WoW has something to do with caffeine.

We can not have complete knowledge now. We have to earn it. This is why we are here. To earn eternal things.
