Verizon witless did that to me. I was 18. Erroneous bill for more than $7,000. I called the news channel because verizon wouldn't correct the bill. Yeah, it got corrected after I aired it on tv.

Settlement was nearly half the original debt.

I almost had to pay more, but it was because a woman was trying to close the case and I was like "Hey, I spoke to this one guy and he said a lower number!" Quick phone call to his extension and things got rearranged and I'm owing the original lower cost bill.

My credit will probably suck for a bit, but hopefully things will even out soon. Smile
