*Groh'L lets his mace hang from its leather handle-band looped around his wrist, and uses the now free hand to grab his ruby while reciting the old words that will let R'holor know he needs healing. He keeps the shield in his left up to ward off blows from the enemy*

RE: D&D In Character Thread
Groh'l prays for healing and recovers 8 hp

Isia Hits Insane Villager for 6 Damage

Insane Villager collapses in a bloody heap

Milfa Hits Insane Villager for 2 Damage

Insane Villager collapses in a bloody heap

Giant fire beetle Misses the Insane Villager in front of him

Insane villager Hits Giant Fire Beetle for 6 Damage

Giant Fire beetle dies

Insane villager Hits Isia for 4 damage

Groh'l's ruby shines brightly as his patron grants his calls for aid, he feels his wounds stitching back together and his eyesight becoming clearer. Isia and Milfa make short work of the two Insane Villagers in the room but the Giant Fire Beetle is overwhelmed at the door. One villager manages to slip in and strike at Isia from behind as 2 more enter the room behind them. The doorway is now unguarded but is being occupied by the villagers (3 are in the small room with you) and unless you can push them back more will begin to flood in next round

"... with a sword in his face he died nae bloody wonder!"

Milfa stops singing for a moment and looks to her companions.

"Block the door Groh'l, we have your back! Isia, move behind him."

Milfa lunges with her short sword at the villager in the room furthest from the door.

*Groh'L puts his back into his shield, and will attempt to use it to bull his way to the door so as to keep any more attackers from entering the room. If this maneuver comes off successfully, Groh'L will then drop his mace and pull out the dirk (dagger) he keeps sheathed at his belt to stab at the enemies trying to get past his own personal shield wall, in the (what will then be) extreme close quarters combat*

[hold back the tide with shield + stab-happy attacks around edges, if possible]

To clarify the 3 Villagers are already in the room you would have to fight through them to get to the door.

Milfa makes sure that she is not attacking a villager being attacked by either Groh'l or Isia.

Milfa Hits Insane Villager for 2 Damage

Insane Villager collapses in a bloody heap

Groh'l Misses Insane Villager and slams his mace into his own knee for 10 Damage

Groh'l is now crippled and cannot move

Isia Misses Insane Villager

As the horde begins to poor in through the door you hear an unearthly shriek and the villagers you had previously dealt seemingly fatal blows begin to stand up

Insane Villager Hits Groh' for 6 Damage

Insane Villager Hits Milfa for 2 Damage

Insane Villager Hits Groh'l for 5 Damage

Groh'l has been killed

Insane Villager Hits Milfa for 6 Damage

Insane Villager Hits Milfa for 5 Damage

Insane Villager Hits Isia for 6 Damage

Insane Villager Hits Milfa for 3 Damage

Milfa has been killed

Insane Villager Hits Isia for 5 Damage

Insane Villager Hits Isia for 3 Damage

Isia has been killed

With no one guarding the door the Villagers swarm into the room reigning blows down upon you. The end comes swiftly as first the crippled red cleric falls, his god's battle cry on his lips. Followed swiftly by the halfling bard and the elven thief. As color begins to drain from your sight you see the villagers turn on each other now that you have all been put down. The rip and tear and attack with no regard to their own safety. Darkness follows swiftly and you leave the mortal plane.
