A polytheist? You got me interested. Please explain.

Not sure for certain, but might be referring to the trinity.

Some do hold they are completely separate people, like Catholics.

Some people even brought up examples of atheist philosophers who died in unpleasant ways. What do you think about this?

Yes, and more blatant ones.

I worked across the street from ORU for about a year. And I got a lot of those Jesus freaks who would come up and say EXACTLY that. They would call me a heathen and say other very nasty things to me.

But the worst I've gotten has been from theist PEOPLE. I have had my tires slashed. I have been physically threatened. At one point I almost lost my job because one of my co-workers (she was a preacher on Sundays, and worked at the store part time) accused me of not doing my job (I had to go through a whole bunch of hoops involving photos and video tapes to prove she was lying).

It's a very long story.

How can anyone become an atheist when we are all born with no beliefs in the first place? We are atheists because we were born this way.

I wish they'd "man up" and remove the "probably"

I agree. Just state that there are no gods as forcefully as theists state there are. If anyone wants to call them up and pick nits about the wording, they can just laugh at them.

There is danger from some rabid, delusional, idiotic Xtians, however.

Xtians aren't a problem. They are docile here.

In Indonesia it's a different bunch I have to be careful about.

But I haven't been beheaded yet.

It is not dangerous in the mythical supernatural sense to be an atheist, but it could be kind of scary if your parents believe they are "spiritually mature" enough to perform exorcisms. Ugh. My family...

My plan is to never be beheaded. So far, my plan is working flawlessly.

It's a different audience. Most people in Britain aren't zealous. Only 10% of the population are regular church-going christians. The rest are default-xtians (i.e. weddings, funerals and maybe carol singing at christmas because it's traditional) and are probably only that because they think there could possibly be a god.

Forceful advertising also doesn't work as well in Britain as it does in America and turns people off the message you are trying to convey. I think they got the tone right for Britain.

Sapphires are blue.
The ocean is blue.
Therefore, the ocean is made of sapphires.

Don't be silly. It gets its color from decomposing smurfs.
