Darwin Day
I have been thinking over the past several weeks that we should have a federal recognition in the united states for Darwin Day. For someone who revolutionized the scientific medium and transformed the world, I think it would be appropriate to have one day with maybe a tv special or a parade. Any thoughts on this? I'm curious as to what others are thinking. I feel that people who have a direct impact for the betterment of mankind should have some type of holiday. I don't 100% know though, so I thought I'd ask the community for some perspectives!

Maybe a "science celebration day" like we do presidents day? Instead of jefferson and lincoln we can celebrate darwin and newton?

Cheers
Patrick

But that's not enough.

The calendars (Islamic, Buddhist, Christian and others) should all be restarted from November 1859... The publication of Origins.

All those in favour... ?

Well, we started with every beast, every creeping thing, every fowl we could lay hand to - not that we could have counted the microbes; busting out the microscope and the centrifuge would have seriously damped the mood.

Rejoice! for in the year of our lord 0 ACD, exactly 206 years ago to this day, our messiah was born. Praise and everlasting glory to the almighty Darwin. Bowing

If we came from dust, then why is there still dust?
