That way we can at least get to know eachother better.
I just sent her a message suggesting it and ask if she thinks it's a good idea.
Yes, blue balls would go on the con-list.
But on the pro-list would still be: highly educated, smart, sticks to principles.

I suggest you just stay friends. Romantic/committed relationships are hard enough with those differences.

And consider having her family as in-laws. Shocking

Quote:After a couple of dates I wanted to take things a step further, as any healthy European guy would like. But she told me she can't. She's from a respectable family and has to keep her family honor until marriage.

Moderate, eh? Yet she think that her family's honor is in her panties.

RE: Dating a moderate muslim
I also would gently suggest that you end things here. Better to build a relationship with someone whose core beliefs (or rather, "unbeliefs" Tongue ) line up with your own. Sometimes we think "Well, it's just their religion. This is just one thing we don't agree on," but a person's religion dictates so many aspects of their lives. You see that she is already demonstrating this, what with speaking of keeping her family's honor, asking her father's permission, and whatnot.

Maybe some folks can make it work. And I suppose it does depend on just how devoted to their faith they are, but if Muslims are like Christians, then they are subject to much guilt over "backsliding" and things like that and could get fervently religious after doing so. Which means you might would get ditched later on down the road, after a deeper connection had developed.

Eh, I feel like I'm kind of talking out of my ass here (just woke up) but I wanted to add my bit of advice into the mix. Good luck with whatever choice you make. Big Grin

Anyway I don' see a reason not to check how she feels about oral sex relative to her family's honor and religious beliefs. Cool

Except if she tells a relative that you asked her, there might be consequences.
