DayZ (mod and standalone)
Alright, so I am currently playing both of these games right now on my PC, and I thought i would extend an offer to the community to jump on and play with me if they want. DayZ sucks soling (especially Standalone in its current form), but it is very very fun in a group!

If any of you have the mod or the game (or both!) hit me up if you wqant to play with me sometime!

Bumped, anyone else up for it.
Its a bit of a moral/ethical simulator more so then a zombie RPG.

How do you react to another human approaching from a distance, both armed with no game saves or extra life's ?

I wave hello , A2 dials in his scope.

Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I".

I've been watching gameplay of it on Youtube. How does one get ahold of it? Is it downloadable or do I have to go buy it and set it up and all that shit I really don't feel like doing? lol

Its on Steam for thirty dollars. Please keep in mind that it is not a finished game.

Its downloadable.

I do not kill people indiscriminately. Only when they have been deemed a threat.

RE: DayZ (mod and standalone)
I played this at a friend's house. I'm not a big computer game fan, but I'd definitely try for this. I only have one question...
Can this be effectively played on a "decent" laptop?
(I say decent because I don't have the specs memorized and I'm not at home)

It's a detailed game. I am inclined to say no, but I am not sure of your specs. Desktops are much more game-friendly.

I'll look and see if I can find the specs for it.

I'm saving for college and a car bro. I'm not as big of a gamer as I used to be. Can't afford it at the moment. I'm stuck with my 360

DayZ (mod and standalone)
I may be interested. A2, since you've played both can you describe the main differences between this and the Arma2/Arma3 mods? I've only played this on Arma2 and have only played the Wasteland mods on Arma3.

Can you get any idea why they decided to make it standalone? Did they go with a different engine? The screenies I've seen look so similar it almost looks the same. Like it's still using the Arma engine.
