It would appear so. WTF^

I give up.

Edit : When that happens, (and I will take Erx's advice and try to see what I'm doing that causes this), but when that happens, the "edit" button disappears..so I can't fix anything. I think I see what to do to fix it, but it doesn't allow an edit.

What was it supposed to be a picture of?

It's rather weak and lacks explanatory power.
It mostly doesn't add up and is unsupported by any real evidence.

RE: Dear sciencey people: what are your opinions on the Aquatic Ape Hypothesis?
It isn't a crazy idea. If I recall it started out as an idea that we spent most of our time out in the water but was iteratively refined to a hypothesis that we spent a good deal of time in and around the water. There are parallels between human features and features of water-dwelling mammals in terms of fur distribution and fat distribution.

However, how you would prove or falsify this hypothesis I don't know. It's and interesting idea, and it is a nice alternative to more mainstream ideas of how we developed. I think the mainstream hypothesis is that the change in fur covering occurred as the result of hunting techniques that required running down prey (marathon style) or for some other heat-related reason. Other alternatives include possible sexual selection (naked flesh is hella sexy, apparently) or simple genetic drift.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

Like?

I actually think it does add up. The aquatic-y stuff mentioned that is unique in humans is strange if we evolved on land.
