Welp... met with the educational minister today.

We had a two hour conversation, and I explained my theology to him.

I am now forbidden to teach anymore in the church.

lol...

So it went well? Big Grin

All kidding aside, that sucks man- sorry that they're so closed minded. It's not entirely surprising, but disappointing nonetheless.

You say that like it's a bad thing. I'm telling you man, you need to start your own church. My buddy says the tax breaks are out of this world. Big Grin

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

If you go around being sincere and logical you might kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. Not surprised. You still keen to be a member ?

RE: Dear you amoral heathens, sinners, hellbound god-haters
This the SAME church that had members scowling at you?
The one WE have all told you to leave?
The one YOUR BROTHER told you to leave?

If the answer is YES to all of these then you are terrible at reading the tea leaves or receiving messages.

If you continue to stay because you have some message from beyond telling you to stay there....then its all you man. No body to blame but yourself.

Hearing them tell you not to teach just STINKS of Southern Baptist nonsense.

Yes.
Yes.
Yes.

Maybe.

And yeah... it does... more or less I've been told I'm a heretic. My brother was aghast and couldn't believe I was told that. He said as long as I'm not teaching the doctrine it shouldn't have any bearing on the other stuff I taught. Keep in mind, my brother is a Baptist minister.

I need to have a conversation with QC about our future at this place.

Dude, not "more or less."
You were told you're a heretic.
You were told you're good enough to fill the pews, membership rolls, and offering plate, but you're not good enough to contribute anything else.
People will start asking why you're not teaching. They'll start whispering behind yours and QC's backs, and then they'll straight out just talk without whispering.

Here are some options for you to try out and report back to us.

I know... I know...

Also, all of those churches are ~30-45 minutes away.
