Each individual relationship is different and unique. There are many examples in this thread of the oil and water actually mixing successfully. Peanut was having issues with some of the more extreme beliefs of her boyfriend that evidence a pretty wide gap in beliefs. When the two people respect each others' right to believe and allow them to do so, it can work. IF one's belief is quite removed and would annoy the other there is a problem. That is the place I think peanut is in.

Well, at least the two are having a discussion. I say, pursue it and see where it goes. An honest relationship is better than worrying "Oh, I better not talk about dinosaurs..."
