You KNOW you're in the Matrix, don't you???

The difference between prayer and masturbation - is when a guy is through masturbating - he has something to show for his efforts.

RE: Determining Reality
Normality is just as absurd as originality, and even more absurd is normal --- no one can define either or, outside of ourselves. Our definitions of everything is how we can finally let go of ego and realize none of us mean anything!!!! I want to be the Who to the Horton. The smaller the better- bc we all have a real functional purpose and faith has nothing to do with it.

RE: Determining Reality
The reality presented to me through my senses certainly exists.
It is possible a more fundamental reality exists beyond it, but the conservative assumption is to only believe in such realities when evidence for them is practically undeniable.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

RE: Determining Reality
To continue Buddhist thought:

Enlightenment (or the understanding of the true nature of things)(or, in metaphorical terms, the "Promised Land" of the Jews, and the "Heaven" of the Christians, and the "Allah La-La Land" of the Muslims) is a path, not a destination.

I remember the words of Simon and Garfunkel's "The Sounds of Silence";

The words of the prophet are written on subway walls
and tenement halls,
whispering the sounds of silence.

I doubt it.

What does it means to you? It is something to ponder, but not worry too much about.

Is it what we think it is? Maybe, but probably not.

Does reality exist? Without question.
