Did Adam and Eve commit Incest?
I have never heard anyone ever put forth such a question before in my life. But this site felt that there was a burning need to answer this question. Since this is from the FAQ section of the website, I guess it's a common question asked of creationists?

Adam and Eve had perfect genes, yeah. So there's no evidence of genetic defects in humans before the fall. Laughat

I like this explanation for people living for 1,000 years:

Did Adam really live for 930 years?

A day is as a thousand years to god. Laughat

Haven't heard that one before, I never cease to be amazed at just how stupid their apologist excuses can be for their loony book.

It's a funny website to be sure. I stumbled across it when looking for comments from bible literalists about how prehistoric man squares with the bible. Everything inspired by this original link in the WSJ on advances in genetics.

Did Adam and Eve commit Incest?
Eve was Adam's rib. Basically Adam fucked himself.

A day is a thousand years to God.

I've heard that and simaler comments before. My question would be.

He would know what a day would be to us. And he would know what a year would be to us. So why didn't he just say it that way?

And on topic Adam and eve may not have had incest. But their kids sure did. And Noah, and his kids. The bible loves incest.

Don't Live each day like it's your last. Live each day like you have 541 days after that one where every choice you make will have lasting implications to you and the world around you. ~ Tim Minchin

I always heard "the closer the kin, the deeper it goes in". 😦

If they want to really be literal about it. Eve was a clone of Adam and would have only had the xy chromosomes of a male. She would have been a he.

Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Not Nessicarily... note it pretty much mentions Seth and Cain had children with wives. Where did those wives come from? Either Adam and Eve or Seth and Eve, either Eve banged her sons directly or her later unmentioned daughters with Adam got together with her sons. Huh

They weren't real anyway so who in this absurd age really cares?

Well, if Adam and Eve were the first and only people on Earth and their mission was to populate it...I suspect there were generations of incest.

It's not like they could have hooked up with other people on Christian Mingle.

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF
