Did the Jesus part ruin it?
If Christianity was the real deal,
do you think the 'Jesus came down in human form (how convenient if someone ask why god looked so humanly) to teach and sacrifice himself' part would exist?

If I had made up a religion and wanted to claim I was God, I would have to do it the same way the bible did.

RE: Did the Jesus part ruin it?
Um, the whole bullshit heaped upon borrowed myths ruins it.

If I was a god, I wouldn't rely on word of mouth written down a hundred or more years later hoping that that same record would be relevant thousands of years in the future.

If I were indeed a omniscient god, I'd probably demonstrate my existence a little more frequently and not through burn marks on toast.

Jesus isn't the only God to experience this, in the Hindu religion for example Lord Krishna was the mortal embodiment of the protector God Vishnu and he also experienced pain and death and understands what it's like to be human. Many scholars point to this story as an inspiration for the Jesus myth considering Hinduism pre-dates Christianity by 1,500 years in combination with other Gods like Mithras and Osirus. There are even many Hindus who believe Krishna will return again, since they believe in reincarnation Krishna can't truly die and may reincarnate again in a time of great need which they hope will be soon...sound familiar?

I agree, considering Jesus walked the Earth around 2,000 years ago and relies on a badly written book to convey his message the least he can do is get it re-written, better translated and you know tell everyone he's real. He only makes himself known to people who have faith and even then he doesn't show up to shake hands and enjoy a cup of tea, you have to "feel" him in your heart. With that much power and that much love and insistence that all humans accept his sacrifice so they can go to Heaven you would think he would try a little bit harder.

My point is you clearly reject the Hindu religion and there is no reason for you to not go one step further and believe Krishna is not a God in a man's body and Jesus is not a God in a man's body either. The story of Jesus is unoriginal and if it's not unique and special why believe it's true? I know you will have your reasons but just like any atheist you don't worship any of the Hindu Gods for your own reasons, yet you choose to believe in another God who is also a myth. You can't prove he's real just like a Hindu can't prove Krishna or Vishnu are real, but that doesn't stop them from believing. With enough faith any human can convince themselves that any God is real, that doesn't make them real or even worth believing in so the question is which religion is real, how can you know for sure and isn't there a possibility that none of them are true?
