Discovery Channel Is Finally Breaking Up With Bad Science
Finally, no more bullshit programming! I am ecstatic to hear this Banana_zorroBanana_zorroBanana_zorroBanana_zorro

“John Hoffman is the new boss of documentaries at the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and the Science Channel, and he wants you to know big changes are coming to the networks sometimes criticized for favoring overcooked “docu-tainment" over scientifically accurate programming."

Yaaay, I might start watching TV again ^^

Discovery was my childhood.

Yeah, what Loom said. Thumbsup

edit Except that Discovery wasn't my childhood part that Loom added. My childhood was more Wild Kingdom, Jacques Cousteau specials, and shows about animals on Disney.

They're pretty unwatchable now, so anything would be an improvement.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

Great! If only History channel would do the same. I used to love it before it turned into a bunch of cranks and pawn shops.

Good. The only thing worth watching on that channel was their Into the Universe series (which was superseded by NDT's Cosmos reboot) and Mythbusters.

People still watch television? Hmm, that's news to me.

If we came from dust, then why is there still dust?

Now, if only the History Channel would stop their rubbish I'd gladly sit through commercials.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces
