RE: Dislike
What exactly do you want the dislike button to point out? A thread? A dislike being the next step from the removal an accidentally placed like?

RE: Dislike
Posts, threads. Basically like the like function, right next to it infact as a separate button, so you have the option to "like" or "dislike".

Each post would present a "Like" button and a "Dislike" button.

If you click one, it changes to "Undo" and the other button is inactive.

If you "Undo", you go back to square one.

Or, there could be one pull-down selection instead of buttons.

RE: Dislike
What about, click one and it goes away or whatever it did before the unlike button.
BUT the other button (dislike if you pressed like, like if you pressed dislike) stays exactly as it is, BUT the code changes on it become the unlike button and pressing it returns you to square one.

?

RE: Dislike
Why? Not that it matters to me one way or another. Some of the trolls that come by here would see a big negative number as a badge of honor, it would be feeding their appetite for attention don't you think?

RE: Dislike
And 18 pages of replies doesn't? and -20 rep doesn't?
There are plenty of ways trolls can get their jollies off at is, adding a dislike function will not further increase the problem.
Further, that'd be letting the trolls win... is that what you want FC? for the trolls to win!!??

We have a like button, as a forum that preaches free speech it's only fair that we also have a dislike button.

Never because we really don't need such a pointless feature.
