I hear ya. Thank you. I appreciate it.

"The problem with faith is that it really is a conversation stopper. Faith is a declaration of immunity to the powers of conversation. It is a reason why you do not have to give reasons for what you believe." - Sam Harris

RE: Divorce: How do you combat loneliness?
I just got out of a 3 year marriage. It was tough. Still is. I have my dog and that makes it quite a bit easier. Not sure what I would have done without him.

Anyway, the toughest part is learning to be by yourself. To not depend on somebody else not only for every day activities but to stay entertained. I forced myself to just sit and watch movies, read a book or even go to a quiet coffee shop and listen to music. The first couple of months were horrible. I still have my days. But the freedom I have gained from learning to be by myself is a breath of fresh air. I went through the initial period of going to the bar often and trying to force myself to socialize. I was socializing to fill this void and I realized it did nothing for me.

It seems so simple but its one of the hardest things I have had to face.
