RE: Do You Ever Pray?
Even though I am a hard core Catholic I rarely pray on my own and tend to avoid doing it with other people.

I'm homophobic in the same way that I'm arachnophobic. I'm not scared of gay people but I'm going to scream if I find one in my bath.

I'm. Also homophobic in the same way I'm arachnophobic. I'm scared of spiders but I'd still fuck'em.

I'm not sure you can be a hard-core Catholic and not pray.
So what are you really?Consider

Not since I was sure the Christian God wasn't real.

Bury me with my guns on, so when I reach the other side - I can show him what it feels like to die.
Bury me with my guns on, so when I'm cast out of the sky, I can shoot the devil right between the eyes.

Yeah, I my hit 6 red lights in a row and I'll find myself saying, " You're mad at me today aren't you?"

I find it humorous at times.

I prefer to sacrifice a female virgin every now and then. It's the same general idea, but with the added benefit of actually DOING something for the gods to observe, rather than talking to my own neurons in my mind.

I think the gods - if there be such - appreciate that extra effort. So, I figure, why not give it a go?

RE: Do You Ever Pray?
When I was much younger than I am now, I recall praying ever so rarely, usually when my dog escaped, or something like that, mostly because I knew no other alternative action (I couldn't go running after her (dog), or help in similar circumstances).
Also while I was figuring out atheism, I did ask every god I could think of to prove itself to me, never worked.

Getting to the point; No, I don't pray, it's a waste of time that I could be using playing a game, or thinking about things.

Although I do find myself reacting like NotSoVacuous describes when certain things happen.

I see that you did there....

And I wish I had seen it before you.
