This was taken a couple days ago in a hamlet not too far from here. This, can happen any time, any where in the Yukon. Yes, that is a bit of blood on the dogs rear quarter - the dog escaped and survived, while the owner was getting his firearm the bear took off into the bush.

I never heard anyone reasonable say you shouldn't have guns in the Yukon or other heavy wild Bear and Wolf infested areas.

Not here perhaps, but I have heard it elsewhere. Besides, figured people might get a chuckle out of the pic.
