Do ration and logic lead to facts?
Nope. There are major philosophical problems with logic and rational thinking.

What is a fact? besides a culturally agreed upon conclusion?

Ration and logic in and of themselves do not lead one closer to a truth or a fact.

A member of a tribe that visits which doctors, examines the moon, examines chicken blood and then through a logical and rational analysis of all the things he has observed, he comes to a conclusion. This method of thinking is still used today by the sciences.

Which doctors?

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Facts are statements with unerring predictive power.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

What society deems worthy of needing predicting or not needing predicting is purely a matter of societal structure.

Sure, what society focuses on affects what truth can be known.

If logic and rationality has evolved from virtual nothingness, then any morality cannot transcend its innate self and look to higher meanings transcending the core.
Our man made logic and research deals with degrees of research and logic and provides us with varying degrees of probability--- not certainty.

Faith belongs to a different genre altogether.
