Great job!

I wish we had Halloween here and all that pumpkin-carving stuff, but I'm afraid we hardly have pumpkins here lol.

That's actually something I've wondered; pumpkins are so thoroughly American...

'Course jack-o'-lanterns come from a British tradition using turnips, so who knows.

RE: Do you Jack O' Lantern?
this is the first year we didnt carve pumpkins.

I spent the pumpkin $ on a fog machine instead. Evil_monster

and we got some other pumpkins that can be reused every year. Also a giant spiderweb on the porch, a sound activated ghoul in the trees crossing over the sidewalk. webs all over the bushes, giant skull.

Using a flickering tea light so it's hard to get a crisp picture, especially on a phone camera.
You got any good pumpkin carving to share for All Hallows Eve?

We have a fog machine too but it doesn't work as well in the rain and guess what...it's gonna rain today. Serves me right for moving to Portland OR where most every year it rains on Halloween. Angry

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Pfft. Rain is weak.

I pity the kids who are going to be out and about in northern Ontario tonight...

Old Jack
Devil's pity
Satan turned Jack away to evil even for him
He gave old jack a single ember from hell.
Jack lit his endless path between life and death
A hollow turnip his lantern the ember his light
Still he walks the earth

my Paraphrase of the legend of how we got the Jack o' lantern. Its an old folk tradition, when they moved to America they found the much easier to carve pumpkin.
