RE: Do you even circus?
I've been to an animal free circus once.

I would never support any circus otherwise.

I also don't support rodeos for the same reason, or animal races of any kind.

Circuses are shadier fairs. At least fairs have weenie roller coasters. What do circuses have? Creepy, sweaty carnies and women with facial hair.

Basically. Confused

Some horses love to run. They love to run and compete, and they get it that they have beat their competition. I know some people think it's abusive but they really really like to race each other, even if it's just spontaneously out in the fields. They do it all the time. The ones that were bred for that for thousands of years to race would not be happy if they were not allowed to race. Some of them even prance around and bow and hop around sideways, and play like "see I told you I would win" after they win. Maybe some don't like it ... I always get ticked if I see them being forced into a gate if they are afraid ... that is bad ... but if they're any good at it they KNOW it, and love to do it. Horses are amazingly intelligent. If they didn't want to run, they wouldn't do it. You and Near should come down to our ranch, I'll prove it to you. Tongue

Horses may love to run, then let them........

In an open field, whenever they -want- to run. Not for the entertainment of drunken hoards.

Have YOU ever seen them mistreated. My family has a lot of them, and I have NEVER ONCE saw an animal mistreated. In fact they get visits from the vet all the time. You're generalizing about something you know nothing about.

I don't need to -see- it to read the reports of what is happening.

I'm glad you guys are kind to your animals. Sadly you are not the entire world of racing. You're generalizing that everyone is like you.
