Well, enough times that I considered religion a problem. Consider

And you're POSITIVE there weren't any other mitigating factors? Could religiosity simply have been a polite excuse? Laughat

It was just a fucking apple man, we're sorry okay? Please stop the madness Laugh out load

I never dated polite girls, so that's not it. Dodgy

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

Yeah, but admitting the reason behind my regret would make me sound like a superficial douche, so I guess I'll keep that to myself...

Brick RE: Do you ever regret not banging him/her/it?
Absolutely.

1) When I was eighteen, I'd been dating a girl for awhile and can still remember the exact moment when it would have happened, and instead I chose to "flee temptation." I was trying to be a good Christian boy, and the amount of guilt that caused totally ruined what could have been a very special relationship. We're still friends today (~20 years later) and I'm glad I had my first kiss with her, but would have liked to loose my virginity with her too. As it is, my ex-wife has that honor. Dodgy

2) I dated a girl for about a year in college, and even though she didn't have a lot of experience at the time, she was very curious, and I know I missed out on A LOT of fun with her. For example, she is still the only woman I've dated who suggested renting porn and also tried to get me to experiment with some light bondage. I think she would have been crazy in the best sense of the word. I still considered myself a Christian at the time but knew that I was "living outside the will of God." Because of Hebrews 12:6 (that's the "son he loves he scourges" verse) I was basically living in a constant state of fear because I was sure that I was operating without divine protection and that at any time God would decide it was time to mete out some discipline from on high. That combined with an irrational fear of sex caused by abstinence only sex education led me believe that having sex outside of marriage would literally ruin the rest of my life. Looking back, I don't blame her at all for dumping me - I just wonder what took her so long.

3) Then, of course, there are all of the opportunities I don't even know I missed... a dysfunctional, fear based sense of morality and fulfilling sex life don't go well together.

I don't regret decisions I made, but I have some regrets for the cases when I was just young and stupid and didn't realize that I was offered sex.
