1. Do you all even care, or are you just messing with me?
2. Does it really matter to you what shows I like?
3. Am I too enthusiastic?
4. What do you all think of me?
5. Am I just the annoying kid on the forum who's obsessed with ponies?
6. Would it be better if I left?

Given the section you posted in, I will treat these questions with the utmost gravity (despite the myriad of one-liners that keep popping into my head).

1a) Care about you? Yes, it's a human thing.
Care about you having a passion / an obsession? Why on earth should we care about that?
Care about the nature of your passion/obsession? Not as much as you do.

1b) Messing? Yes, probably. The more that a passion or hobby becomes an obsession, the more teasing you'll get.
There are few a books out there about autistic people who formed a passion for one or other very narrow, specialist topic... people laughed at them, they were teased... until they became the global expert in the subject and made a living out of it.

2) It does not matter but it is data gathered... another piece in the subconscious TSG-jigsaw-puzzle that we build in our minds.

3) As William Blake once so hedonistically said...
"You never know what is enough unless you know what is more than enough."
Each person you connect with will have their own threshold of tolerance for you and the stuff that interests you.
I can't stop my eyes glazing when some taxi driver insists on talking about football (just 'cause I iz English) or someone wants to talk to me about their saviour.
a) Learn to recognise the signals
b) Decide, on a case-by-case basis whether to shut up or to keep communicating.

4) Not telling... but nothing negative.

5) No, that's Ferdie!

6) Better for whom?
For the community? I think not.
For you? That depends what you think / feel you get from us.

There might be more constructive things you could do with your time but that applies to time spent on the forum, time spent bronying or anything else in life. The only question is what's the ROI?

As to a different channel for your passion and energy... I think Crulax gave the best advice... you should be out there...

All points but the latter are duly noted. Thumbsup

1.) I like you, that means that yes I will mess with you every now and then, its my nature.
2.) No
3.) It's not causing harm so no, though some teasing will occur.
4.) I like you
5.) No.
6.) Up to you, but I personally don't want you to leave.

The requirement of evidence to back your claim does not disappear because it hurts your feelings, reality does not care about your feefees.

RE: Do you guys really care?
People dislike other people all the time in here. Even I dislike some people that everyone else seems to like.

I wouldn‘t go as far as to ignore them, but if someone wishes to do so, you shouldn‘t think of it as something so serious.

As for the ponies, I‘ve seen many teenagers watching it just to “fit in“ with some online community. I doubt it‘s any better than most other cartoons, but who cares. You can like whatever you want.

However, I personally don‘t mind the ponies you throw around. A couple of people who mind it do not represent the whole community here, so no need to worry!
