In practice, what do you actually use all those little bells and whistles for?

A chronograph is a watch with a stop-watch. In horological speak, a watch with a chronograph complication.

So, I use the stop-watch for timing things, often for cooking. Especially grilling, nom, nom. Drooling

Fuck watches, fuck cell phones too. I ain't got neither. Nobody really knows what time it is anyway. And nobody really cares. We've all got time enough to die. Big Grin

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

RE: Do you know what time it is?
I have this affinity for having things on my wrists. My first obsession was watches, but in my early teens I started a kind of pseudo-philosophy of "living in the moment", so I stopped wearing them. ("Pseudo" only because I adhered to it because I thought it was profound, not because I actually felt it). At that point, I began wearing various sweat-bands and wrist-cuffs. Then I traded in for something smaller like bracelets of various styles (nothing girly, obviously), and when I finally let go of Christianity, I went out and got bands tattooed around my wrists. Recently, though, I've begun wearing a watch again. I was headed out on a hiking trip a few months ago and decided I should grab a watch (ever the survivalist, I am), so I stopped by Target and picked up a $10 piece of shit out of one of the bins next to the fancy watches, and it hasn't failed me yet. I've finally gotten used to checking the watch instead of the cell phone. I hate cell phones.

Through profound pain comes profound knowledge.
