WGBX Boston plays uncut, uninterrupted movies on Saturdays.
Tonight they're playing "The Big Sleep" and "The Maltese Falcon". Gotta like some Bogie.

Now I have to prepare some snacks and drinks. Wink

I remember WGBX Boston, being one of the main producers of almost eveything I watched on PBS WTTW in Chicago as a kid.
Outstanding station and probably the best in the country.(WBGX)
Then I was off to watch Bozo on WGN. Big Grin

RE: Do you like PBS?
I love PBS. Nova and Frontline and I'm a sucker for Downton Abbey (I like the costumes). I like the guy who does The Woodwright Shop. I've been following that show for ever. His hands are all beat up now from the old tools he uses and I learn stuff. I'm never going to do any of the stuff he shows, I just like to watch.

Occasionally they have a ballet and one time they showed The Magic Flute opera directed by Julie Taymor who did The Lion King on Broadway. It was amazing stage work.

I also like NPR.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

I'm still recording old episodes of Bob Ross. There's nothing like watching one of his paintings take shape. Plus every once in a while he'll share a picture of him holding one if his squirrels, or some other little creature. Love that man!

I hope that the world turns, and things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you. - V for Vendetta

Bob Ross. Haha. He's great when I take an afternoon nap. He puts me right off to sleep. I remember Mad TV did a parody about him.

Lol! Going to watch that here in a bit.

My parents always called him the babysitter. You could sit me and my sister down in front of Bob Ross, and we'd be quiet and well behaved for 30 minutes Big Grin

RE: Do you like PBS?
Another US-centric thread. Pah!

Nope, I've never seen PBS and haven't watched TV for nearly 9 years.

...

Carry on.
