The doctor said he found galafrey and she was not lying. was that really a lie too?
The Doctor was violently angry after checking the supposed coordinates of Gallifrey. The Master has spent [u]five goddamn episodes[/s] trying to get The Doctor to love him/ her and was using the coordinates as a bargaining chip to spend more time with him, prolong his/ her life and remove him/herself from a dangerous situation.

There was nothing outside the door. Not even that starscape backdrop they use when they want to show that they're in deep space.

I figured he found a planet of cybermen / daleks / other abominations

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

How does everybody feel about the finale?

Brought a tear to my eye. C'est la vie.

RE: Doctor Who - Peter Capaldi
So I think I'm on the fifth or sixth episode now and so far Peter has not won me over. To me he just seems like an insufferable jerk. I've been told that's the point, he's supposed to be more harsh and dark, but I just don't see that. I see a guy who is just plain rude and mean for no reason.

He's not dark or brooding, he's just an asshole and not entertaining to watch. To me he has no charm or wit. He's like Christopher Eccleston all over again, except completely devoid of all humor, smiles, and quirkiness.

It took a couple of episodes for me to warm up to Matt Smith, but not many. This new guy I'm getting zero warmth for.

RE: Doctor Who - Peter Capaldi
I haven't started watching the new Doctor Who but I've always like Capaldi. He played Sid's dad in Skins and I really enjoyed his screen time. I also watched him in Torchwood, though I never realized it until Atothetheist explained the old "I've seen this face before thing" at the start of Capaldi's Doctor Who-hood. But I think the fact that I've already liked Capaldi for a while gives me the advantage of naturally already liking him as the Doctor over someone who is used to all of the prior Doctors.

You will absolutely love the newest Doctor then.

Also, this might put Peter Capaldi's geek-ness in perspective:

Dr Who is just Scooby Doo in reverse.

The sad sad truth.

Loved the Christmas episode!!! Big Grin

though, even though I do like Clara, I was hoping the scenario with her as an old lady was the real ending. I'm not sure how I feel about her being the companion all next season too.

I hope that the world turns, and things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you. - V for Vendetta
