Does America Still Fear Communism?
I'm from Canada so I'm really not sure, but I know a bit about the House for Un-American Activities Tribunal and a lot about the blacklisting that they did, especially to some great thinkers and artists over the Mcarthy years, and I'm wondering if Communism still has a terrible stigma in the U.S. Is it still a huge taboo to 'come out' as it were as a Communist?

Not so much. The new 'evil' is creeping socialism.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

Air Force Instruction 1-1

3.4.2. Prohibitions on Wear of Uniform. Air Force members will not wear any uniform
combination or any uniform items in the following situations:

3.4.2.1. When attending a meeting of, or sponsored by, an organization, association,
movement, or group that: the Attorney General of the United States has named as
totalitarian, fascist, communist, or subversive; advocates or approves acts of force or
violence to deny others their rights under the United States Constitution; or seeks to
change the United States government by unconstitutional means.

I know it's just the AF but yes, America is still afraid.

RE: Does America Still Fear Communism?
If you bring it up, yes, but it's not really on peoples' minds much. And it's turned more into a fear of China and Putin's Russia than any fear of internal revolution.

E 2 = (mc 2)2 + (pc )2
614C → 714N + e + ̅νe
2 K(s) + 2 H2O(l) → 2 KOH(aq) + H2 (g) + 196 kJ/mol
It works, bitches.

At first that may sound a bit scary, but "by unconstitutional means" makes it okay to me.

So I guess my uncle, an Air Force surgeon, (in Ohio), cannot go to Mass, in uniform, at many Catholic places where they practice communism, (like a Benedictine Abbey, or school, or a Cistercian Abbey), where they are "avowed" communists. I think I won't be bringing THAT up, any time soon, at their house. No

I would say so since every example of communism is a complete and utter failure.
