Many things that are free haven't been stolen from anyone, for example water.

Although I see it used by republicans to describe anything that is not them.

That'd be correct if it were true.

That's why we have to pay a social security tax, this isn't stealing because we get something in return: free healthcare, pensions, when you are unable to work due to a accident you can still get your paycheck, you get money for raising kids, you can still get money when you are laid off and looking for a job.

But sometimes people abuse the last one and there should be put a stop to giving people who have no job so much money. At least in Belgium it is the case some people take advantage of the social security system.

RE: Does America Still Fear Communism?
I wouldn't say there is the fear of communism that persisted in the past.. but there are groups trying to still play it out socialism as the ultimate evil.. To many people in America, there is no difference when they hear the word communism/socialism because they don't know what either actually means; they were just raised to believe it was what the evil segments of the world enforced.

Haha I'm probably wrong. I haven't watched politics in a long time.

Communism..... where in Idea, people are all treated the same, where everything is owned by the people and for the people, where nobody goes without???

Nahhhhh...... how can they profit off that.... better scrap that idea and teach everybody how fucked up it is Shy

Capitalism... where in idea, people are rewarded based on personal effort and achievement and not simply given handouts because they were forced out of someones vagina. An idea based on "You were born, cool story bro now go out and earn whatever it is you want in life through hard work and effort" rather then based on "I'm born so I deserve this that and the other".

Yeah, I would definitely look it up. In the U.S, especially in mainstream politics, there is no such thing as the far Left. There's the far Right, and then the slightly less Right.

Capitalism... a theory that includes trickle-down economics, encourages corporate domination of government policies, and enables abuse towards workers and other citizens. A plan that invites 99% of failure with 1% victory. A theory that puts you out there on your own. An idea that causes growth, but not without the consequential 'bust'. Not a plan I'd support without heavy government regulation.

With a unified world economy and 7 billion people on the planet, it's time accept the fact that we all need to be there for each other.

What the West feared was totalitarianism; Communism was just one instantiation of it.
What the Right in the U.S. are currently against is socialism - viewed as unlawful taking of the fruits of their labor.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
